Roost House of Juice!

You may remember, 2 summers ago I blogged about a friend of mine that was making Green Smoothies at the market.  It was Green Smoothie because it is made from greens AND made with a bike blender using no electricity!

Here is my blog post back in August of 2009:

And here is Jeanette talking about the Green Smoothies and Heidi blending on the bike.

WELL, Jeanette is working on her dream to open at juice and smoothie bar!  Visit her on Kick Starter and watch the video.  Roost House of Juice is hoping to open soon in Portland Maine and is seeking donations to help finance the dream.  Consider helping them, thanks!

Buzz Off!

My NEW "Buzz Off!"  soap!

With the scent of citrus from the citronella plant which is known to be naturally antiseptic, deodorizing and a bug repellent. It will be ready in about 4 weeks!

This was a customer suggestion that I was happy to work on. This customer also suggests that you simply dampen the soap bar and rub it directly on your skin while out and about, this will act as a natural bug repellent!

Busy Busy, Summer Is Here!

Summer is here and I am super busy!  3 markets a week now means that the other 2 days I need to cram in soap making, soap packaging, ordering supplies, billing, cleaning, scheduling, shipping and more!  I try to do it all during the week so I have weekends free to spend time with my husband.

The NEW South Portland Maine Mall Farmers Market opened on Tuesday.  It was a bit of a slow start with 6 of us vendors brave enough to stick out necks out and give it a try.   Plenty of room for more vendors and there are several lined up to start with in the next couple of weeks (licensing needs to be approved by the city).  The weather didn't cooperate and we had a very grey day with sprinkled and wind mixed it.  It was very chilly too!  I am hoping for a better market this week!  They are doing a great job to support the market and get the word out via advertising and promotions.
Here is the link to an article in the local paper, The Forecaster:

Soaps at market!

Thursday I am selling at The Yarmouth Farmers Market and that has been getting better and better each week!  Lots of wonderful vendors and the space is great for families to come and enjoy the market.  Come on down!

Below is Winter Hill Farm from Freeport selling in Yarmouth- they sell cheese!

And the Freeport Farmers Market opened on Friday....off to a great start!  Come on down every Friday 1-5 on the L.L.Bean Campus and see me and other great vendors!  There is a blog with pictures from the opening day:
