I turn 40 this year. I actually feel like I am part of a club. I have lots of friends on Face Book that have been turning before me and almost every week I wish another classmate or friend a Happy, Happy Birthday. I have some fun things I would like to do before my big day (which is early August) and need some help adding to my list. Any ideas?

1. Create your own special cocktail (or non-alcoholic drink). 2. Spend 2 hours at the salon getting your hair cut/styled for a fresh look. 3. Grab 3 girlfriends & plan a special night out or girls' weekend.
Have fun! I'm a Leo too (I assume you're a Leo), but I'm going to be a bit older than 40 on my next birthday. ☺
Thank you Beth! Great ideas, and yes, I am a Leo.

39 - Write down 39 things that I am thankful for from year 39... Awesome post. This month I am turning 41. My year 40 was revolutionary for me. Life changing. Getting rid of any bad and turning it back into a life I love. I hope your year 40 will be wonderful!! xo Jen
Hi Shannon,
I think that you should refer to your birthday as being 25 with 15 years experience. Seriously you don't look a day over 35!I think #5 on your list should be changed to #40(only kidding). I'll send you my cocktail bible.Always remember that turning 40 gives you the right to be old enough to know better but young enough not to care. Just celebrate who you are and all you have accomplished.
